The Repovesi national park adheres to the principle of leaving no waste behind, and there are no waste containers in the national park. Every visitor is responsible for their own waste. This means, all non-burnable waste (including aluminium-lined food containers) that you bring with you must be brought out of the national park. As the outhouse is non-compostable, do not discard any compostable waste, such as food scraps, in the outhouse.
Small paper and cardboard waste can be used as tinders in the campfire, but do not leave any non-burned waste behind.
Under any circumstances do not leave any foodstuffs behind, as they attract animals.
