The Lojukoski kota is located on the lakeshore of lake Tervajärvi. The location of this kota (which roughly translates to a traditional Finnish forest hut) renders it the perfect home base for a paddling trip in the Repovesi national park. The kayaks can be carried with ease from the larger Repovesi lake to the more tranquil Tervajärvi via the Kuutinkanava channel. There’s a kayak platform on a public beach and a campfire site nearby the kota. The clear waters and easily accessible beach formations here invite for a relaxing swim in the lake. And don’t forget to bring your fishing rod!
Two hiking trails, the famous Kaakkurinkierros and the Koppelonkierros, which circles around lake Tervajärvi, pass nearby the Lojukoski kota and offer tremendous trekking possibilities.

The Repovesi national park adheres to the principle of leaving no waste behind, and there are no waste containers in the national park. Every visitor is responsible for their own waste. This means, all non-burnable waste (including aluminium-lined food containers) that you bring with you must be brought out of the national park.
As the outhouse is non-compostable, do not discard any compostable waste, such as food scraps, in the outhouse.
Small paper and cardboard waste can be used as tinders in the campfire, but do not leave non-burned waste behind.
Under any circumstances do not leave any foodstuffs behind, as they attract animals.
